Beginner's Drift Lesson: 15th Feb 2013

We had a charming couple for our Beginner's Drift Lesson recently..the basics of drifting were taught along with essential driving techniques added to lesson

I am sure they had just as much fun as we did teaching them :)

Metro Driving Academy : MSM drivers drift n advance defensive lesson 7th Feb 2013

Metro Driving Academy had invited us to conduct a two day course on drifting and advance defensive driving for 24 drivers from the MSM which is the Malaysian Sports Council. These drivers are made out of private chauffeurs for the ministers  to bus drivers responsible for taking the athletes to their meets

Drifting which is essentially car control, was taught on the first day which was followed by advance defensive driving where more advance techniques were taught during the session.

On the 2nd day more advance techniques were taught but with  a more personal one to one guidance catered towards the drivers.

 To put what they had learnt to practice, a Gymkhana competition was held  for the students . The fact that the fastest time recorded during the competition had beaten our Instructor , Mickey Teoh who happens to be one of Malaysian top gymkhana competitor, personal best  shows that the vast improvements student had gained from the two day lesson.

Cars used for this lesson was the AE86, Proton Saga BLM and a Proton Persona.

Intermediate Lesson: Drift Garage Drift with the Pros 13th Oct 2012

We recently held an Intermediate Drift Lesson with our friends from Drift Garage Singapore. A total of ten drifters made their way to MARDI, Selangor to attend this fun filled event.

























The main objective of the day were to get the drifters to get used to close door to door tandem drifting.

























Tips were given throughtout the day with regular drivers briefings where questions were answered and advise were given.






















The drifters were able to practice in both dry and wet as we had a water truck available to wet the course down towards the end of the day.

  

We also rented out our GTR 32 rental car for that day to one of our former beginner student!   

Lesson cars: Skyline GTR32

We have added a turbo platform in our stable and it comes in a form of a GTR32 Skyline.

 The car no longer has its 4wd drive train and is running RWD on 15 inch rims .

 Gone is the RB26 engine which is replaced by a SR20DET. This car has power steering and is fairly easy to drive! Please contact Jane for more information at jane@syncoptima.com

TGIF Fathers day Drift Lesson competition 6th August ember 2012

Sponsored by Castrol and YHI Yokohama, Sync Optima gave two lucky fathers an introduction and a beginners lesson on the art of drifting.

  This full day event ended with a free drift session to all the other drifters present!

Beginners Drift Lesson: International students 7/7/2012

SODA played host to a cast of talented international student from two different continents. 

We sincerely hope they will bring back whatever they have learnt from our lesson and inspire people there to take up the sport.

Singaporean supercars owners club : Beginners Lesson 5/5/2012 & 12/5/2012

We had two groups of supercars owners from Singapore attending our class for two consecutive weeks. I am sure the lesson and the driving tips will make them more skillful and safer drivers !!
